Double Billing of Electricity Supply
We discovered one client was being charged both for their own electricity and for the neighbouring business's electricity, even though the neighbour was also paying for their own electricity charges directly to another supplier.
The electricity was being charged for twice because the neighbour's incoming mains cable had been incorrectly wired so that it passed through both our client's meter and then on through their own electricity meter.
It took a lot of arguing to prove our case but we eventually recovered £37,000 back from the electricity supplier.
