Case Studies

Food Manufacturer

The introduction of the CRC Energy Efficiency scheme with its complicated rules and important financial implications has added another layer of administration which large businesses and organisations now have to complete.  For large groups with subsidiaries in climate change agreements the regulations can be particularly complex.

We have been working with our clients, including a major food manufacturing company with various sites and subsidiaries, through all the various stages from registration to completion of their footprint and annual reports.

We also provide regular energy budget forecasts as well as making suggestions and recommendations to help reduce the group's energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Furniture Manufacturer

We have been working with this business through a number of structural changes over the years, including various changes in ownership and company formats.

As well as managing contract renewals we also check all their electricity and gas invoices, deal with property disposals and ensure their readings are updated each month.

Food Wholesaler and Distributor

A number of changes over the years with sites being closed down and new sites being opened up have kept us busy managing the alterations to their electricity and gas supplies.  We study their consumption patterns and have reduced capacity levels to cut their energy charges.

We look after their quotations, renewals and supply contracts. We also check the charges on their invoices each month, and deal with all the day to day enquiries which arise.

Leisure Group

Having rapidly built up a chain of 330 night clubs, restaurants snooker clubs and bars, by acquiring and amalgamating several smaller businesses, the group knew their electricity and gas accounts needed to be sorted out.

Invoices were streaming in from numerous different suppliers and their purchase accounts team simply did not have the time, experience or technical expertise to deal with all the problems which were arising.

We were asked to look after the day to day management of the gas and electricity accounts, so carefully worked through the invoices for each site to identify and remove the confusion and resolve the mistakes.

Bowling Alley Chain

We achieved significant savings by consolidating the electricity and gas supplies into two new group contracts for 40+ sites. We also negotiated a £200,000 reduction in the amount which needed to be paid to settle a large number of outstanding electricity charges.
